So I got to the line around 4:00am. The line was already 1/2 mile long. By the time the gates opened it had wrapped around by the freeway off ramp into the neighborhood right there.

Safe to say there was a lot of people there. I fished the drop shot with a white power worm most of the day to combat the wind. Only hooked one fish and lost it at the bank. The wind was blowing at 15mph all day. Safe to say this was not my favorite derby I’ve fished but we still have a few left this season. I’ll be fishing the rancho Jurupa derby this Sunday.

And I will do my best to fish all the San Bernardino county derby’s.
