Cat island run
#1
So as most know this season has been slow for getting out.from 2 to 3 trips a week down to boats only been out 3 times this year and 1 other trip on the sportfisher. Well we desided last min to take and go to the island. A little 3/4 day vacation fishing trip. As terri and I have been to the island her daughter really has not.

So loaded for anything we headed out of dana. Little sloppy and 2 hours and some change later, might want to add at the 267 we lost the electronics. Yay had to go old school. But that also meant no sonar. Again went old school look for points and on the maps.

Once we arrived at the island we where greeted by the western pride who had the oak hills brewery team on board. Haha always cool pulled in next to us and bam we all got bit. Slow day lost 1 Bonito and saw very small yellows. On shore we went. Haha the Lil one got ice cream and we walked around for a bit. Good times love the island.
Next stop the island [Image: 5e5762b6d3892d497e61576160e0845b.jpg][Image: 5d412cee2d61b9cfed234ec7e5657ff0.jpg][Image: 9bdb0e8cb54811d354c0454cd5282eab.jpg]
Turned and burned for home at 1 o'clock no wind and flat seas running about 24 to 26 knots, until 8 miles off the red buoy it went victory at sea 4 to 6 wind chop on top of 2 to 4 rollers. We only other time I have been that wet was a tournament and my good friend Joe can tell that story sometime. 14 times we dipped the bow. Any ways we went we had fun and we did find fish but couldn't get them to go. Needed smaller hooks and bait I guess.
Well tight lines and fun times had a blast for a fun trip.[Image: 1a4eb3860dc1c3f77f487d028abbe20f.jpg]boat washed dinner cooked and of course we had smores. Haha[Image: 6de870052bc8ccced7654258c52c5bbf.jpg][Image: 152ac63802c3f22d19a4d3a12cffead7.jpg]

Oh and as for a fish report we did get the electronics back up
Water temp where 70.8 in the morning at the 267 inshore and island 73 ish. Bft where around sounded like it was south and out side. The island off the slide had some good action too.

Hayden only wanted to fish with her Barbie fishing pole that her papa got her[Image: 90106313d61f54297cdc0aaa1ad4812a.jpg]

As you can see she was serious....

Eventually we talked her in to using another rod..
