Matvei has had multiple shimano rods broken, flipping the yak, someone sat on one, and yea he got all of them replaced

yeah me too. the clarus models start the warranty. anything below that there is only manufacture limited warranty. so youll be good with the crucial.
men and fish are alike. we both get in trouble when we open our mouths.

Both companies are over priced, why pay that much? You might as well get yourself a custom made rod using American Made blanks with the cost of them. A production rod is a production rod. No need to be the "cool guy" with expensive equipment. And if you are, get it custom.

I would normally agree but after breaking a few rods. It would have been nice to not have to buy a new one. 1 was my fault and the 2nd was just plain odd. And no they were not Abu Garcias!!

the base model rod that shimano offers a lifetime warrantee on is $80. thats not bad for lifetime. its way worth it.

Never look at it that way.... Dose any one know how much a custom wrapped Calstar 800H going for now?
Just call and check..... $375 OUCH!!!!
