Got out the yak between storms
#1
Well sunday morning i got up and was on the water by sun up (6:15). Unloaded and paddled out to where i wanted to be just intime for the lightning show and black sky.... BOO. Paddled back to the truck, loaded up the yak and headed home. On my way, weather cleared up and wind stopped, so i tried somewhere close to home. Got there and wind was blowing pretty hard and cloudy skys. BUMMER! Thought of a honey hole that was blocked by the north wind so i thought id check it out....[Image: IMG060.jpg]. HELL YEAH!! calm and beautiful!! fished for about and hour and a half before storms started rolling in again. Ended up taking home 4 keepers and threw back a few borderline. Had a fun little sunday morning tho!! [Image: IMG059.jpg]

if you have a good yak, its not much trouble at all! mine treks well and is easy to paddle, so its not too much work. I have used one before tho that WORE ME OUT

yeah, ive always been a wade fisher. I got the yak to paddle where i wanted to go, then get out.....once i got it and started fishing out of it.....i dont get out. You cant beat SITTING with your feet over the edge, drifting down the shoreline. MUCH less tiring!!
