Nice to meet you all

I just joined the pro staff a few days ago.  Here's a little bit about my background:

I've been fishing for about 20 years both freshwater and saltwater.  I started in my early teens fishing for trout at Irvine Lake and Santa Ana River Lakes.  In high school I was introduced to freshwater bass fishing and used to fish Castaic at night.  I was a Boy Scout for almost 13 years and earned the rank of Eagle in 1999.  Scouting taught me everything I know about the outdoors, fishing, watersports, and got me into target shooting. At 17 years old I was hired by Sport Chalet where I worked sales for almost every department in the store but specialized in fishing, mountain shop, and scuba.  I became a PADI Certified Rescue Scuba Diver in 2003 and was certified in Night Diving.  I stayed with Sport Chalet until the very end in June of 2016 after 17 years as a sales associate.

I'm a Glock and AR-15 owner.   I have received professional training in handgun marksmanship and combat shooting from two of the largest law enforcement agencies.

On the weekends I like to fish, hike, and go shooting.  In the winter when not fishing I like to go snowboarding in Big Bear and Mammoth Mountain.

My favorite place to catch trout is in the Sierra/Bishop  and Mammoth Lakes area.  For Saltwater I enjoy fishing for Yellowtail, Sheephead, Whitefish, Bass, and Rockfish.  My best Yellowtail fishing has been in Catalina and my best rockfishing trips have been in the Channel Islands where the big Ling Cod, Sheephead, and Reds live.  I'm also like to go hoop netting for Spiny Lobster during the season.

I have my own YouTube channel where I post fishing and outdoor related videos.  Hope to fish with all of you soon.

Never knew you could catch calicos in the surf like that! Especially ones of that caliber! You'll have to show me how to do it sometime.

Tricks and tips, well that sounds like some kinky shit.... Just sayin.

fishing tip: fish where there is water.
hunting tip: hit your mark and make a clean kill.
I am that guy who will control your thoughts on this site. (someday)
