So i was reading about this guy down in that area, he fishes the canals and does dang good, 32 lbs cat fish, 2+ lb smb & lmb and Nice Stripers, who would have thunk it...

Awesome read from the other site and i like that you fish areas most just look at. sounds like most of us here, fish where ever you can and see whats there.

Yes it is legal to fish the canal. Best if you stay in Imperial County, so you don't run in to them ticket giving bastard in Riverside County......Haha...... If you want to head down that way I'll be happy to ride down with ya, and show you around.

I figured the Riv was like that, thats why I asked. My old man retired from MWD, and would tell me about people fishing them. Likewise, the tickets they'd generate. Sounds sweet though.... something different.
