Riverside County Fishing NEWS
#1
i spoke with a gentleman yesterday about an issue. This issue bothers me. So i saw a post about no Riverside County fishing derbies and no stocking in county lakes (riverside county lakes). now the state will dump fish however not the county. i also spent a few minutes on the inter-web looking at riverside county parks page, nothing about fishing more than the basic here are the lakes and whats in them. looking on the calendar no fishing events not stock dates and nothing about any fishing.

Now with the slogan "Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District" Escape to the Outdoors. One would think that means pick up a tackle box not an Xbox. With funds being generated from these parks where are they really going.

With limited areas for people to go inside Riverside County, is the county trying to push people to go out side of the area not help the economics of its own system.

I can say this is not happy thoughts and the group who pointed this out is going to stand up for this issue and hopefully let the director of Park and Rec understand fishing is huge and teaches many thing.

On a side note i have dealt with the director on trying to put things together, NO GO.

Come on Riverside County lets make a better changes and put the funds back where it counts and the smiles of kids catching fish.

I used to fish that park alot back when I lived 5min away. it’s funny because that back pond looks super bassy but I’ve never been able to pull a bass out of it. I just can’t bring myself to fish mud holes like that when prime spotty fishing is only a 45min drive to LB or DP.

Right
however sometimes it is still fun, when we have good wet years there are some spots that you would never imagine that we fish and do very well

A friend who works for parks and rec told us no trout in Perris this year. It sucked for trout anyway. Lol

However, I believe the lake is deep enough for hold over trout.
