I remember seeing the pictures of that fish entered into the contest on the site. that is cool, the question is will it make the books?

Good job on catching it and its a record in our books here!

Make the book or not. It the state record to me. Couple month ago I took my wife fishing at DVL for night tourney. She caught a 10lb flathead catfish that night. I was told it was a lake record, but no lake offishial was there due to it being 3am.The fish never got put on record. Oh well.....

So Texas Parks and Wildlife says i can send it in and it will be recognized.....BUT will not be on the record books because it has to be reported within 60 days of catching it. I could lie and say it was....BUT if they look into it, they will see it posted on here and another site a year ago.....so, no go

Glad to see your honest, its not worth the risk of never being able to get in the book again.
Congrats for at least 1 catching that fish and 2 getting in the books.
