Wasn't Expecting This
#1
So my buddy and I had about an hour window before we had plans with friends in Coronado. So we went to one of my favorite docks on the island and we picked away and small spotties and spanish mackerel with PSI SPOONS till I get a good bite on the 3 inch swimbait with a fresh slime of UNIBUTTER. I set the hook and get the head shakes and takes some drag, has good wieght. I thought Halibut, but once I see it, it turns out to be a massive sculpin! Between 3-4 lbs(pic doesn't help in my favor). Got a few pictures and set her free. Was a fun outing for half hour and we ended with 6 bass 4 spanish macks, and 1 sculpin. Lot of outgoing tide movement, lot of small smelt in the water, and as glassy as it gets
