Wister Mud Pots/Site Closures
#1
According to Rick Francis, Wister Unit Manager, there are new mud pots forming in the Y-16 zone. Y-16A blinds 1-3 are reported to be closed for the season due to these dangerous formations. According to him, one of the pots is forcing such a large amount of water from beneath the surface, that it threatens the integrity of the ponds. Rick is addressing the issue as best he can at this time. He also asks that if anyone sees any bubbling-up area/s on the unit, to please stay clear and report it ASAP!

WOW
that doesnt seem right, is it the water from the sea just finding spots and blowing up or is it something else going on down there?

The sea water and other underground rivers find their way into fault cracks and on down near the hotter core ... the water turns into steam, thus expanding, and pushes back up to the surface.
