Have you tried? EMT is not a fire fighter and fire fighters are not always EMT. And you have an ego or you don't you don't get given one when you get that job. I love reading your posts but that statement you just made makes you look like the one with an ego. I understand you have CF but you can't discount yourself or everyone else will too. Your young with options in front of you and if you don't finish high school then your days working at mc Donald's will for sure get in the way of fishing. SB1 We are here to help, i can honestly say i hated school, however i finished and wish to GOD i would have finished college. Yes i am not scared to say i didnt finish it, however if i had i could be fishing and hunting way more. we are just trying to help, listen to what Hunt and Fish just SAID,

I understand school is important but i am on a solid 3 week no-fishing streak and i am going clinically insane!!!! i cant stand this i just cant wait till winter break and till i get out of High school in May... seriously it's geting annoying lol

Sb I really wish you could understand. Mikey is older than me. I'm only 26 and until you have bills and require yourself to provide a good living you simply don't understand. Neither did I at your age. You feel invisible and people with life events mean nothing. Well I am here to say at age 26 I'm back into school. Why cause it's damn hard to hold a good paying job. Construction is slow and the good jobs you'd like to have, have 500 of your best friends applying for it as well. 8 years ago I didn't have bill, and I had a home to live in with food on the table. Well I was a know it all then and didn't take the furture seriously. Have fun in life yes but school is way important. Only a few make a living fishing, and today's expenses it's hard. Go to school and don't make my mistakes. I only wish I had someone like Mikey in my life after high school. Why? Because he speaks the truth and only wants best for the youth. 8 years I could have been done already. My wife is finished and sits at home and waits for me to come home. I'm now a husband full time student and work full time. You have time to go to school for 4 years and honestly you would be stupid not to.

Thank you SB, its true GUYS.... Look I own a Fishing / Outdoor company, you would think I would be the one out every day. sorry as stated above it is not easy. I have a Loving Beautiful Girlfriend that want me to be happy wants to hunt and fish etc... but we have to pay for, YES we get sponsors Yes we get perks, but its taken years to get these and the education factor is Key.... there is a reason I want the younger generation on this site, also there is a reason you don't see a lot of DRAMA on this site, Educate yourself be smarter and you will go further. Most of you I only know via the site of a few phone calls. your all friends to myself and other on here, so what do friends do we look out for each other.
School does suck, however and TRUST ME as SB said I have a few years and lots of experience get an education, get certified in something, Trade school, degree or a tech license of some sort.... Good Talk Guys, yes this is my NON admin account and this is Mikey!

haha School is important i know that lol i actually plan on double majoring in Bio with an emphasis in marine bio and automechanics haha it'll be long and hard but if it works out how i plan it to... everyything will be awesome in 10 years

see i have no desire for school and no desire or drive for anything else im a hell of a salesman and with out a doubt be able to get people to go with me i would with out a doubt have my sponsores to help me get people such as bass knuckles and tenacious baits and know many other great connections and i have the best guys looking out for me and think i would be successful at this they have seen me fish they have seen me drive their boats and put them on fish i get wehere u are ll comming frim its just i dont like being around medical shit cause im around it every hour of my life all ready gets sickening to see that its a part of my life

I really with some of the captains would say something right about now, SB1 i totally get it and under stand it. the bottom line is you need to follow your dream, however becoming a captain and guide is not as easy of a job as one wants to believe. again i get it school seems to be a drag, however you need it, i can not explain why right now just trust all of us. you can always look into trades. Question besides Fishing what do you like or love?

Let me give something to you, i am going to share a personal story of a job i went for not to long ago, about 2 months ago. Sales Job large company in the fishing outdoors industry. 1200 apps sent in, 15 interviews, 3 of us made it to the wire.
I didnt get the job, great pay benefits, retirement and the whole deal. if i would have had a certificate of some trade or better yet a degree, Hands down would have had it. Sales is what i do for a living. Corporate America wants you to have one or both of those. lets just say this i / we my family own a few business and this job would have made me more money that i am now. As well a steady income.

As for fishing unless you have multiple set ups, in different locations and cash flow to pay for them, its a trip by trip paycheck. Sponsors do not give you boats, gear and lets see slip fees storage fees fuel cards nor pay insurance. i am just being honest here and dont mean to seem like and ASS to you, just looking out. go pinhead on a day boat, see and talk with the guys they will tell you. your working for tips. i need to stop now. but i hope this sheds some light!
