OK....There is a guy up in WA state who IMO has single handedly made sport fishing better there. His name is Ron Garner.....He is the President of Puget Sound anglers. He runs a business and throws tons of his own time to fight the fight. He has a lot of club membership now. He has turned the tide by being steady on the course of keeping opportunities open and fighting every closure or reduction on the table.Google and or search his name and Puget Sound Anglers......Then ask yourself.......can I be that guy???
It is a model......a goal......an idea of a proven direction.

Ron is very approachable......he got both the crab and shrimp quotas extended this year and sounds like preventing a shrinkage of halibut. He has been in "the game" for a long time. Built both relationships and a reputation for "no nonsense" fish management. He loves to fish as much or more then the anglers he represents.

So there is light at the end of the tunnel, this is awesome and something to start working towards.
