Great Seminar, they had Cory the owner speaking. A lot of info given on line selection, leaders, rods and ect. Talked about slugs and how to fish them, his weedless swimbaits, and his new series swim baits called VIEJO swimbaits. They had 3 SWBA team members talking as well. Seeker Rods came out and had a unbelievable offer on there inshore rods, which Cory gave away 60 bucks free of his weedless swimbaits for buying a rod. Savon gave away 30 dollar gift certs. Just a great seminar.
One of the cool points they made yesterday was that a lot of people feel if they want big calico bass they have to go to Clemente or Cat. They did comment that there is a LOT of 5-6 pounders there but when was they last time you have heard of a 10 lb caught there? They did say because there is a lot of 5-6 lb grade fish there maybe thats why we dont here about the bigger fish there. And that there is some much comp there that the bite is aggressive. But they want to stress the point that our local waters hold some BIG grade fish here, and to focus and learn the areas. More of the tournament fisherman have caught BIGGER fish on the local waters than they have at Clemente area.
