SWBA Tournament, Sept 15th

Location: Marina Del Rey Launch Ramp , MDR, CA.

VHF Ch: 65 Alpha.

Species: All three species (13" minimum length).
*5 point bonus for catching all three species.

Off limits Period:
Off limits time periods in place for all events this year will be in effect from Monday-Saturday prior to the event, within the designated boundaries. No team may launch or enter into the boundaried area to transit or fish during this time. Infraction of this rule will be considered grounds for disqualification for that event. No new teams will be signed up within this period. All new teams should have their membership fees paid on or before the Sunday prior to each event.

Boundaries:
Pt Mugu to Pt Vicente, including MDR marina, in waters no deeper than 120' and deemed legal to fish by local authorities.
All MLPA Boundaries will be enforced!

Tournament Entrance fees: $100/team
$120 Cash day of.
Big Fish Option: $20/TeamTop Flight Option: $10/TeamOver/Under: $10/Team
Side pots are cash only and will be collected at the Captain's meeting or day of the tournament.

Tournament hours: 6:00am-2:00pmCheck-in Deadline: 5:15am

Sign-in booth will be located toward the back of the parking lot.

Staging Area: Inside the MDR Breakwall at the mouth of the harbor. Please find your place in line, (along the inside West Jetty), according to your boat number/flight designation and await the start.

Start:
6:00am
Starting Boat: TBA
Flight/weigh-in deadlines:
Flight 1: TBA (2:00pm)
Flight 2: TBA (2:15pm)
Flight 3: TBA (2:30pm)
Starting Boat will be announced during the Captains Meeting at
Sav-On Tackle. (9-12-12, 7pm)

Weigh-in/Check-in
: The tournament/check-in boat will be located just inside the MDR Breakwall (same as start).
All teams must turn in the provided check-in marker to the official tournament boat before their designated weigh-in deadline. There will be a 1lb./min. deduction enforced for all late teams. Teams may not continue fishing after check-in.

Weigh in: Marina Del Rey Sportfishing Dock located on the right as you enter the Marina.

Awards Ceremony: 3:00pm.
Location:
Same as sign-in.

Registration: Please follow these steps in order to register your team for the 2012 SWBA 'Race for the Cup' Tournament Series. All tournaments within the series are 'Open Tournaments' that may also be fished individually.

Step 1: Print two copies (one per angler) of the 2012 SWBA waiver/release form from the link below.
Step 2: Each angler must complete and sign a copy.
Step 3: Mail completed forms along with entrance fees in the form of a check or money order in the amount of:
Entrance Fee: $100/Tournament.
Annual Membership Fee: $50/Angler
Make check payable to Salt Water Bass Anglers. Write your team's name on your check/money order and mail to:

This weekend the boys will be out to play. This is the last open tournament of the year. Oct 6-7 will be the championship round but only top teams will be in it. This weekend ounce can mean "due or die." The heat is gonna be up and the teams will battle it out. This is gonna be a exciting finish to the end this weekend. Im pumped and cant wait for the LA Chase Challenge. Good luck to all teams, be safe, see ya saturday bright and early. My team for this weekend that i want to win will be Jimmy and Tracy Decker team Disco Punk team #4. I hope they pull one out big this weekend. Also good luck to FaceDownBassUP, Fishtraxs, Saltyballs, Benny Florintino, Team Lowbudget, Team Carne, and everyone else.

Congrats to Shimano back Team Hammer for the big win this weekend. Conditions were tough, what i mean by that was waters were warm, calm, and kelp everywhere. It was just To nice of a day for the fish to play. For some teams, they hit a home run. Others made it for tough pickins. But again Benny and Keith of team Hammer hit it big and took home the win. Also congrats to Reason 2 Bern 1 for a second place finish, Slam-o-La third, Killer Instinct fouth, Perros Viejo 5th, just to top out the top 5.

A big congrats to all the teams making it to the Oct 6th-7th finials. Reason 2 bern 1, Basstards, Dirty, Wallsout, Perros Viejo, Killer Whale, Kelp Kritter, Jigonometry, Salty Balls, farmer's Daughter, Low Budget, Bassaholocs, HAMMER, Slam-o-La, Rizo, Fishtrax, Bag em up, Squid R Done will be fishing out in Mission Bay, San Deigo for the series finials. Good luck to all teams.
