Just wait, the older you get the worse it gets. once you start life outside of what you know now, the fishing days get less and less......

OK so you get your Captains License. Now you have 300+ hours logged, you past all the test you got 5 captains to sign off on you. JOB WELL DONE.
You now need to prepare for the next bubble buster i am going to throw out at you. Ready for the list:
1. Boat
2. Maintenance
3. Overhead
4. Insurance
5. Slip or Storage fee's
The list gets longer, and not to mention the liability of running charters. I am not trying to be a dream buster, however being a charter captain is not easy, the pay sucks and you better have a back up plan. school is not all that bad, trust me on this one. I would love to see any and everyone get the dream they want. I support you 100% SB1 to get that license but please get through school and make sure you have a back up plan....

Consider doing something like being an EMT. 18 months of school and then you can get to work. Once at work depending on where your at you could have a fire fighters schedule. 3 days one week 4 days the next week. That's a career that could pay you decent and still allow you to fish.
